It’s always a good idea to make sure we’re on the same page before collaborating. I like to keep the process easy and friendly—we should enjoy our work together.

Step 1: Conversation

We’ll set up a time to talk by phone so that I can learn about your brand goals. I’ll take some notes and invite you to ask questions about my process. If you’re in Amsterdam, we could meet in person, at your office or at a café (it’s refreshing to get out for a bit!).

Step 2: Agreement

I’ll reflect on our discussion and consider the best project approach. Depending on the nature of our work, I take up some initial research to identify challenges or possibilities we’d want to take into account. Then I’ll send you a proposal specifying deliverables, timelines and project fees. Once you OK the terms, we’ll evolve the proposal into an agreement by signing it. I require a 50% down payment to begin any work.

Step 3: Implementation

I dig into my research more. At this stage, I could request a follow-up conversation to cover any additional info required. I produce whatever deliverables we’ve agreed to in Step 2. I send it to you for feedback and/or final approval. Once you give your final OK on the work, I’ll invoice you for any outstanding balance. I’ll check in with you 2–3 weeks after we complete the work, to say hello and make sure you’re still happy with the results.
