FREE OKKE ORNSTEIN:
CAMPAIGN & ACTIONS FOR DUTCH JOURNALIST

Okke Ornstein, an award-winning Dutch journalist, was persecuted in Panama in 2016 for writing about shady business dealings. His arrest garnered support by the Committee to Protect Journalists and other orgs, along with the Dutch government.

I had a personal stake in spearheading the online campaign to raise awareness and funds for his legal defense: I’m his partner. I worked nearly 24/7 on writing articles; fielding press inquiries; and coordinating with diplomats, lawyers, free-press reps, and activists in Panama. Thanks to all their tireless and sophisticated work, Okke was released after 5 weeks.
